French Journalists Are Freed in Syria

Four French journalists who were held captive for 10 months in Syria were released late Friday and were on their way home, President François Hollande’s office said Saturday.

Anja Niedringhaus’ Slaying Diminishes our Eyes on the World

Two Associated Press journalists were shot in Khost province, Afghanistan: Kathy Gannon and Anja Niedringhaus on April 4, 2014. Anja Niedringhaus died in the attack.  Kathy Gannon was also wounded but survived.
